Why Linux is so important? Because many
need it as a powerful and cheap tool. Why many still can't
decide to use it? Because they are worried about support. We
are here to give you installation disks and support as well.
Linux can be your firewall, POP3 e-mail server, web server and
much more. You can save your anxiety and money if someone is
there to check that everything gets set up properly. We can
provide the care!
Linux is a buzzword today. Everybody talks about it. Web
hosting companies use it. Network admins praise it. Computer
geeks deifies it. Governments of Germany, Sweden and China
alike thinks about using it. Microsoft is afraid it. Yet, a
common user fears it and it seems that few really know how to
use it at all, what to speak of installing, configuring or
maintaining it. Is all this really a big talk but no actions?
Let's see these things from inside.
The statistics show that while Linux and other Unix variants
are used in more than half of the world's internet web
servers, only less that 2% of desktop machines have installed
Linux. Since on average there is one network administrator for
150-200 desktop users, Linux is not very widespread. To better
understand the situation we should know some facts about Linux
and its history.
